The student and teacher surveys are designed to help assess the impact of the STEMarts@PASEO Curriculum Tool as a school activity, as well as specific student learning outcomes. We hope that you will participate in these surveys. Your answers and insights alwats improve the curriculum tool and provide useful information for your parents and your school.
Connections: Activity Guide
This activity guide provides a review and comparison of each of the seven artist’s installation selected for this years festival as they relate to the festival theme: Connections. The theme celebrates, contemplates, or questions our interactions with each other, nature, or the world. The purpose of this guide is to give students opportunity to reflect on how the artists explore the theme from different perspectives. The activity develops critical thinking around the artist’s process, medium and technique. Having students do this activity before the festival will greatly enhance their festival experience.
STEMarts Design Tool: Feedback Tips
Learning how to reach out for feedback is an important and often overlooked phase of the design process. Done correctly it greatly improves the success of the project. This downloadable PDF provides valuable tips and best practices that can be shared with students when they are going through the STEMarts Design Tool to create their Design Concept. The strategies build understanding about the purpose and value of the feedback process.
Teacher Survey
Teachers are asked to complete the survey after the Visiting Artist presentation and after the festival. If possible, teachers should complete form using the online link within 10 school days of The Paseo event.
